Chris:On my Mushroom Foray on 10/18/13 with Scott Ninneman, I found this beauty. Finding a King Boletes was exciting enough, but what I really liked was that it appeared to actually consist of 3 stipes intertwined with a single cap. Is this a common presentation or is it as unique as winning the Triple Crown in horseracing?
I can't tell you how much fun I'm having with this...
Dick: Occasionally we find doubles but a triple is pretty rare
